Extruded finned tube is a heat exchanger tube in which the fins are attached to the bare tube through an extrusion process. The fins are formed by pushing the base metal of the tube outward through a shaped die, thus creating a series of protruding fins along the length of the tube.
Extruded finned tubes are used in many areas, typically in applications where heat needs to be transferred or dissipated, such as air conditioning systems, power plants, refrigeration units, industrial heat exchangers and others. They are known for their high thermal conductivity, durability and corrosion resistance.
This extruded finned tube configuration can be used in virtually any heat transfer application and is especially suited for high temperature, high pressure applications. The strong connection between the fins and the base tube prevents the fins from loosening due to thermal stress, oxidation, corrosion, etc., and can be used at very high temperatures.
These fins increase the surface area of the tubes, which, in addition to making the heat transfer between the fluid flowing inside the tubes and the surrounding environment more efficient, also help to improve the performance of the tubes in terms of heat transfer rate and thermal efficiency. They are known for their high thermal conductivity, durability and corrosion resistance.
YUHONG GROUP provides variety of extruded fin tubes in the industry, including single/gombined metal fin tube; low/T type fin tube and bamboo/corrugated tube for heat exchanger, boiler and superheater.
