Hastelloy Alloy C22 Tube Highlights

Hastelloy C22, also known as Alloy C22, is a general-purpose austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. The high chromium content provides good oxidation resistance, while molybdenum and tungsten content provides good reduction resistance. This nickel steel alloy also has excellent resistance to oxidative aqueous media, including wet chlorine and mixtures of nitric or chloride-containing oxidizing acids. 

Other Corrosives Hastelloy C-22 is resistant to oxidizing acid chlorides, wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, ferric and copper chlorides, seawater, brine, and many mixed or contaminated organic and inorganic chemical solutions. This nickel alloy also has the best resistance to environments that encounter reducing and oxidizing conditions in the process stream. This is beneficial for multi-purpose plants where this "restless" situation often occurs.
